Anthropic released Claude Opus 4.8, and it's now live in SmophyAI Chat. No update needed - the new version is in your model selector right now.

Opus 4.8 brings deeper reasoning on multi-step problems, more reliable long-form writing, and better context handling in long conversations. It's particularly strong for writing-heavy work, structured analysis, and editing where tone and voice matter.

Claude Opus 4.8 appears in the Multi-Chat view by default, so you'll see its responses next to ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, Perplexity, and DeepSeek on every prompt.

Opus 4.8 also powers AI Enhance across the platform. When you toggle AI Enhance in Chat, Image Generation, or Video Generation, Claude automatically rewrites your prompt into a more detailed, professional version before sending it to the target model - which gives you sharper answers in chat and significantly better results in image and video generation, without needing prompt engineering expertise.

Google released Gemini 3.5 Flash, and it's now live in SmophyAI Chat. The updated version is in your model selector and active by default in the Multi-Chat view.

Gemini 3.5 Flash brings noticeably faster response times, better multilingual handling, and stronger performance on quick factual queries. It's one of the fastest models in SmophyAI's lineup, which makes it a strong default for short prompts where speed matters more than depth.

OpenAI's GPT Image 2 is now available in SmophyAI's Image Generation tool, with HD output for higher-definition results.

GPT Image 2 is selected by default and marked "Best" in the model selector. It's also the default model used in Compare All - press the button and SmophyAI generates four images simultaneously across GPT Image 2, Seedream, Nano Banana Pro, and Grok Imagine, so you can pick the version that fits best.

Quality settings: choose Default for faster generation or HD for higher definition output, available directly in the generation panel.

ByteDance released Seedance 2.0, and it's now available in SmophyAI's Video Generation tool alongside Kling for full HD and 4K video output.

Seedance 2.0 brings stronger motion coherence, better handling of complex scenes, and more accurate prompt following compared to the previous version. It's particularly strong for character-driven scenes, product reveals, and short cinematic clips designed for social media.

Videos generated in Seedance 2.0 are ready for direct publishing to YouTube, TikTok, Instagram Reels, and other social platforms, with standard aspect ratios available in the format settings.

To compare Seedance 2.0 output against Kling on the same prompt, use the Video Generation tool and switch models in the selector - or generate in both and pick the version that fits your project.

DeepSeek released V4 Pro and V4 Flash on April 24, and both models are now live in SmophyAI Chat - integrated the day after release.
