Claude Fable 5 is currently unavailable on SmophyAI. This is not a change we chose to make.

On June 12, 2026, the US government issued an export control directive requiring Anthropic to suspend all access to Fable 5 and the Mythos-class models for every user, worldwide. As a platform that provides access to Anthropic's models, SmophyAI must comply, so Fable 5 has been removed from the model list until access is restored.

What this means for you:

• Fable 5 is temporarily disabled for all SmophyAI users.
• Every other Claude model is unaffected - Claude Opus 4.8, Sonnet continue to work normally, alongside ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, Perplexity, DeepSeek, and all image, video, and writing tools.
• Your subscription and token allocation are unchanged.
• No action is needed on your part. If you had selected Fable 5 as your model, simply pick another model - we recommend Claude Opus 4.8 for complex tasks.

Anthropic has stated it considers this directive a misunderstanding and is working to restore access as quickly as possible. GPT Image 2 is selected by default and marked "Best" in the model selector. ByteDance released Seedance 2.0, and it's now available in SmophyAI's Video Generation tool alongside Kling for full HD and 4K video output.

Seedance 2.0 brings stronger motion coherence, better handling of complex scenes, and more accurate prompt following compared to the previous version. It's particularly strong for character-driven scenes, product reveals, and short cinematic clips designed for social media.
